Hi Mario and the boys at SIDHE. Got RL 2 for Chrimbo. Just want to say you have excelled yourselves. A good game, cant wait for the third installment.
All that i would say for the next game , maybe have a Staduim editor, where you can build your own stadium or at the very least the ability to rename Stadia. Vossy could say "the home stadium/stadia" or similar if name of stadium is not on database.

Keep up the good work, it can only help promote Rugby League, the greatest game!!

Its a superb game. I think the only ones who dont like it are the ones that would never be happy no matter what. Im sure Mario would admit it needs tweaking here and there before its near perfect but as it stands its miles better than RL1. I gotta agree with those who say the more you play the more you like it.

While certainly moving the genre forwards it's far from perfect. I'm not talking gameplay here. The way the gameplay is evolving is great, not quite there yet but a step towards it.

I'm a PC gamer. It's really the only way to play games. The drawback being that you need the internet to play against other human opponents. No problem as most games, especially sports games, thrive on their MP aspect. RL2 is no exception. It plays much better against a real opponent. My criticism is with the 'bolted-on' MP aspect for the PC. It's really not up to scratch. The fact that MP games are just NOT customisable in any way. Pick your team, 5 mins a half, and that's it. Control of the gametime, direct IP, or even a decent Lobby would be all it needs. Where's the online Season/Competition/Franchise??

I know the reason that most of this isnt there, the fact that the game has been produced with the PS2 in mind (After all, that's where the money is)

This post seems very negative and I'm not wishing to belittle a game which is still great fun to play. I'd just like to air my opinions on a few of the very basic options that don't appear but really should have.

Mappable controls???

Well done to Sidhe for their hard work and I hope you get your rewards, but even more I hope that a few of the really basic issues I've raised (Things that are really nothing to do with the mechanics of the game) could make it into a future patch.

i think you should get stevo and eddie to commentate on RL3 they did do on a rugby league game years ago im sure they will again.

One more thing Mario, maybe have the game eyetoy compatible, so that you can be in the game playing for your favourite team??
